Dana Zaccardelli named Independence Athlete of the Week

Sophomore runner Dana Zaccardelli was named Independence Athlete of the Week for the week ending Nov. 1.

Zaccardelli missed most of the 2014 season with an injury but returned in time to lead the Blue Devils to a second place finish at the Medina Division III District meet. She finished in 13th place overall and in the following week she placed 20th at the Board regional with a time of 20:45.

As a freshman, Zaccardelli finished 11th in the 2013 Ohio High School Athletic Association state cross country meet.
