Mentor finishes seventh at Arby’s Classic

Mentor ended its trip to Tennessee with a 77-61 loss to Father Henry Carr of Canada in the sixth-place game at the Arby's Classic on New Year's Eve.

The Cardinals trailed most of the game, but rallied from an 11-point deficit in the third quarter to tie the game 53 entering the fourth.

Henry Carr outscored Mentor, 24-8, in the final quarter. The Cardinals fell to 7-3 on the season.

Four Mentor players scored in double digits, led by Jack Korsok with 17 points. Tadas Tatarunas scored 15 points, Caden Kryz added 13 and Allen Sims chipped in 10 for the Cardinals.

Mentor lost in double overtime in the first round to David Crockett before defeating Dobyns-Bennett (TN) and Gate City (VA) to advance to the sixth-place game.
