VASJ leads suspended D4 sectional baseball semi

Villa Angela-St. Joseph is three outs away from advancing to the Division IV sectional finals in baseball.

In a game started May 11 at Euclid High, VASJ leads Cornerstone Christian, 10-4, with the Patriots coming to bat in the bottom of the seventh when the game resumes. The teams will travel to Cuyahoga Heights on May 12 to finish the game with the winner staying to play the top-seeded Redskins in a sectional final.

Simon Texidor started on the mound for the Vikings and went the distance on May 11 vs. Cornerstone.

VASJ sophomore Vince Mauceri doubled, tripled and had 5 RBI to lead the Vikings offensively.
