Grand Valley’s Ashton Zupancic reaches 1,000-point milestone

EASTLAKE–Grand Valley senior Ashton Zupancic on Wednesday became just the fifth player in school history to join the 1,000-point club.

Zupancic entered the non-conference game at Eastlake North with 994 career points scored. He opened the game with a jump shot and a 3-pointer and early in the second quarter he hit a floater to push his career total to 1,001 points scored.

Despite the setback to the Rangers, Zupancic scored a team-high 16 points. Zupancic moved into fourth place on the school’s all-time leader board.
