Berkshire closed out the regular season with a 196-210 win over visiting Cuyahoga Heights on the front nine at Pleasant Hills Golf Course on Thursday.
Forrest Kuchling shot a match-low 40 to claim medalist honors and Caden Neumore shot a 47 for the Badgers. Mason Mulacek (53) and Andrew Young (56) rounded out Berkshire’s scoring.
“We certainly played better yesterday than we had on Tuesday and Wednesday,” said Berkshire coach Dave List. “As usual, Forrest Kuchling led the way with a 40. It was nice to see Caden shoot a 47 and bounce back from a disappointing round on Wednesday against Beachwood.”
Alex Krinov shot a 47 for Cuyahoga Heights while Mike Hopkins and Justin Lambert each carded a 53. Brady Pinter closed out the scoring with a 66.
Both teams travel to Windmill Lakes Golf Course in Ravenna on Monday for the Chagrin Valley Conference postseason tournament.
“We face a tough challenge on Monday playing a difficult course like Windmill Lakes,” List said. “At this point, we are just looking to improve. The postseason tournament will be a great warmup for sectionals, especially for Forrest who has a great opportunity to qualify for districts.”
