GARFIELD HEIGHTS–Independence extended its league winning streak to 102 straight matches with a 3-0 win at Trinity on Tuesday.
The Blue Devils, who are now 306-9 since their last league loss in 2012, won the match 25-23, 25-16, 25-16.
Trinity earlier this season became the first conference opponent to win a set from the Blue Devils since 2016 when the Trojans lost to Independence on Sept. 3, 3-1.
With the win, Independence improved to 12-2 overall and 7-0 in league play. Trinity dropped to 9-2, 6-2.
