Chagrin Falls punches ticket to district tournament

CHAGRIN FALLS–With a 6-0 win over visiting Orange, Chagrin Falls won its seventh straight game and earned a trip to the Division II district semifinals.

The Tigers, who improved to 14-2-1, led the Lions at halftime, 1-0, but exploded for five goals in the second half.

Chagrin Falls will host Gilmour Academy on Oct. 21 in a rematch of a regular-season game that ended in a 0-0 draw.

Orange closed out its season with an 8-9-1 record.

Haley Adams is a 2016 graduate of Cardinal High School. She is currently in her third year at Hiram College with a major in Communications and a minor in Writing. Haley, a three-sport standout at Cardinal, has participated in many athletic events at Hiram and plans to become a sports broadcaster.
