  • School: Beachwood
  • Grade: 12
  • Stats: Averaged 37 strokes per nine holes in two matches
  • Coach’s Quote: “Drew again led the Bison in scoring average shooting a 37 at both Pine Ridge and Rolling Greens,” said Beachwood coach Will Cumpstone. “He has led the Bison all year and has directed them to a 6-0 record. He set the school record for low 18-hole score at a league event shooting a 72 at Pine Hills during the preseason CVC Tournament earlier this year.”

BOYS SOCCER

Jalen Allen

JALEN ALLEN, HARVEY

  • Name: Jalen Allen
  • School: Harvey
  • Grade: 12

  • Coach’s Quote: “Jalen Allen led the Raiders in a comeback win against Conneaut, scoring three goals and getting an assist,” said Harvey coach Natalie Sisler. “He is a player to watch going forward this season.”

Dawson Schafer

DAWSON SCHAFER, GENEVA

GIRLS SOCCER

Joelle Banks

JOELLE BANKS, WICKLIFFE

  • Name: Joelle Banks
  • School: Wickliffe
  • Grade: 12
  • Stats: Scored four goals with two assists in three games
  • Coach’s Quote: “Joelle helped spark our offense during a three-win week with phenomenal runs and active work up top to stretch the opponent’s defense,” said Wickliffe coach Steve Gribovicz. “Joelle works in space well to use passes from her teammates in the attack. Her decision-making this week was spectacular as she accumulated four goals and found her teammates for two assists.”

Romiya Roth

ROMIYA ROTH, BEACHWOOD

  • Name: Romiya Roth
  • School: Beachwood
  • Grade: 9
  • Stats: Scored three goals with two assists in two wins
  • Coach’s Quote: “Romiya had a terrific week after scoring five goals in her first high school game back on August 18,” said Beachwood coach Jonathan Kostoff. “In the 4-1 win over Lutheran West, she scored three goals in the game including the game winner with less than 10 minutes to play. She created chances from different angles all night long and relentlessly pressured their back line. It was her first varsity game under the lights and it proved to the entire team that no stage is too big for her. She’s been a key piece to our 3-0-0 start to the season and the sky is the limit for her over the next four years.”
