5. Wickliffe 6-8, 4-5
6. Rootstown 5-8, 3-6

Five of the conference’s six teams remain mathematically alive in the division race heading into the final stretch. Chagrin Falls controls part of its own destiny with conference games remaining against Kirtland and Crestwood. The Tigers already own a 1-0 victory over Kirtland this season.

Kirtland still has games left against Berkshire and two against Crestwood after already defeating Berkshire once. Crestwood, meanwhile, picked up a 7-6 win over Chagrin Falls earlier this season and dropped an extra-inning battle to Kirtland, 4-3.

Berkshire remains firmly in the mix after splitting its season series with Chagrin Falls. The Badgers also still have games remaining against Crestwood and Kirtland after falling to the Hornets once earlier this year.

Wickliffe is still technically alive as well, though the Blue Devils face long odds. Wickliffe must win at Rootstown on Thursday and then hope every team above them in the standings loses out. Rootstown is the only team that has officially been eliminated from title contention.
