Beachwood senior Drew Schnee shot a match-low 38 to lead Beachwood to a 184-210 win over Berkshire at Fowler’s Mill Golf Course on Wednesday.
With the win, Beachwood improved to 10-2 on the year and Schnee closed out the regular season undefeated with a tie to teammate Nate Burke as the only blemish on the year.
“Drew has made strides each year since his freshman year on varsity,” said Beachwood coach Will Cumpstone. “What he is doing now is becoming consistent off the tee and around the green and handling his mental game. He strives for excellence every day, be it on the course playing a match, at the range or improving his short game. In short, he is maturing as a player and doing what he loves to do. He is a pleasure to have on the team and has been for four years.”
Burke finished with a 41, Pat McCourt shot a 51 and Andrew Belleli rounded out Beachwood’s scoring with a 54.
Forrest Kuchling led Berkshire with a 44. Mason Mulacek came in with a 52, Hunter Mulacek shot a 56 and Andrew Young finished with a 58 for the Badgers.
