Geneva’s Eric Bowser named Ohio Varsity Basketball Coach of the Year

PEPPER PIKE–Geneva coach Eric Bowser on Sunday was named the 2018-2019 Ohio Varsity Boys Basketball Coach of the Year.

Bowser received the award during the 2019 Ohio Varsity Senior Shootout and Underclassmen Showcase at Ursuline College.

In his first year coaching at his alma mater, Bowser led the Eagles to a 16-9 record, but it’s what the squad did in the postseason that really made the difference. The sixth-seeded Eagles won three postseason contests including upset wins over the No. 2 and No. 3 seeds in the Division II Ashtabula District.
