CHAGRIN FALLS—Hawken earned a thrilling 3-2 win at Chagrin Falls on Tuesday in a battle for second place in the Chagrin Valley Conference Chagrin Division.
The Hawks opened the match with back-to-back 25-23 wins then watched the Tigers rally for two straight victories in the third and fourth sets, 25-17 and 25-20.
Hawken held off the Tigers in the decisive fifth set, 16-14, to improve to 5-3 overall and 3-1 in league play. Chagrin Falls fell to 2-7, 2-2. West Geauga leads the conference with a 4-0 mark.
