Hawks finish second at Trinity Golf Classic

Behind strong finishes from Drew Covitt and Tommy Hill, Hawken earned a second-place finish at the Trinity Golf Classic at Ironwood Golf Course in Hinckley, Ohio on Friday.

Aurora won the tournament with a 321 while Hawken was second with a 329. Independence (393), Wickliffe (395), and Berkshire (398) finished ninth through 11th and Beachwood (416) and Trinity (489) placed 13th and 14th, respectively.

Aurora’s Luke Radis shot a tournament-low 75 to win medalist honors. Covitt (77), Hill (80) and Beachwood’s James O’Neill (79) all were named to the All-Tournament Team.

Hare attended Willoughby South High School through the middle of his senior year, then graduated from Berkshire High School in Burton in 1986.
