Irwin leads West Geauga past Orange

CHESTERLAND—Josh Irwin recorded a double-double in leading West Geauga to a 56-49 win over Chagrin Valley Conference rival Orange on Tuesday.

Irwin scored a game-high 25 points and pulled down 14 rebounds in the win.

Peyton Bissler scored all 12 of his points in the second half as the Wolverines held off the Lions to improve to 8-5 overall and 6-3 in league play.

Donald Hughes led the Lions with 17 points. Myles King finished with nine.

Haley Adams is a 2016 graduate of Cardinal High School. She is currently in her third year at Hiram College with a major in Communications and a minor in Writing. Haley, a three-sport standout at Cardinal, has participated in many athletic events at Hiram and plans to become a sports broadcaster.
