Lakeside slips past Cardinal

Sadee Hamilton and Paige Fox both scored a pair of goals and added two assists in Lakeside’s 5-2 win at Cardinal on Thursday.

Kristen Clason also added a goal for the Dragons.

Cardinal’s Audrey Avalon scored both of the Huskies’ goals and Daisy Robinson recorded an assist.

“The girls never gave up and played with energy until the end,” Cardinal coach Vanessa Pintabona said. “We have no subs so every girl has been playing the full 80 minutes, but they fought until the end, dominating the second half of the game.”

Pintabona has seen a lot of growth out of her team this fall.

“The girls played well today, especially our offense,” she said. “Audrey Avalon, Bella Pollack, Daisy Robinson and Madi Rosenberger are starting to read each other really well and playing stronger together every game. Audrey has been determined to get shots on goal from the far right side and yesterday two fantastic shots hit their mark. It was great to see that hard work pay off.”
