With a 177-220 win over visiting Beachwood on Wednesday, Lutheran West now stands alone at the top of the standings in the Chagrin Valley Conference Valley Division.
The Longhorns improved to 3-0 in league play while every other team has at least one loss.
“I am happy with our performance in the CVC so far,” Lutheran West coach Dale Lehrke said. “We are off to a really good start and I am enjoying the coaches and players from the league.”
Jakob Gross led the Longhorns with a 40 while Cameron Wandrie finished with a 43 and Tyler West carded a 45.
“I was happy with the way we played. We seemed to keep our composure and didn’t get frustrated like we have in past matches,” Lehrke said. “Cameron Wandrie posting a 43 was big for us. Cameron is working hard and improving, which will help our team in the long run.”
Lutheran West hosts Trinity on Thursday.
