Lutheran West seniors Tyler Robinson and Taylor Warner made their mark in the school’s first year in the Chagrin Valley Conference.
The Longhorn standouts were among the league’s recipients of the CVC Senior Sportsmanship Award.
Robinson, who played golf, basketball and baseball at Lutheran West, was named first-team All-CVC in golf and started in 38 of 46 basketball games over the course of the past two seasons.
He was slated to start at shortstop or third base for the Longhorn baseball team.
A member of the Senney Honors Academy and student council, Robinson carries a 4.3-grade point average. He was named a Golf Scholar Award winner and also is a member of the Servant Leadership Council.
Robinson will attend Ohio State University.
Warner ran cross country and both indoor and outdoor track for the Longhorns.
She was named honorable mention All-CVC in her first season running in a new league and helped the Longhorns to reach the regional meeting in 2016, 2017 and 2018. She was part of a team league championship in 2018. She paced the Longhorns in their runner-up finish at the 2019 CVC meet.
Warner was a two-year captain of the cross country team. She earned three letters in track and was a four-year participant in indoor track.
A Bowling Green State University Choice Scholarship and Falcon Achievement Scholarship recipient, Warner, who carries a 3.56 gpa, also earned a Working Families Scholarship and is a member of the Servant Leadership Council.
