Tigers open with win over Cuyahoga Heights

Chagrin Falls opened its season with a 181-234 win over visiting Cuyahoga Heights at Tanglewood Country Club on Tuesday.

The Tigers recorded the four lowest scores in the match.

Cristina Joseph claimed medalist honors with a match-low 42 and Chloe Steger and Ali Holtz each carded a 45 for Chagrin Falls. Molly Lowe closed out the scoring with a 49.

Alexa Nielsen and Julianne Rankin both shot a 54 for the Tigers.

Emma Patterson shot a team-best 56 for Cuyahoga Heights. Cassie Bloam and Demi Tsonton each finished with a 59 and Kara Jesonosky added a 60.

Shia Moore (62) and Anna Patterson (68) also completed for Cuyahoga Heights.

Hare began covering high school sports for the Lake County News Herald in 1997. Hare attended Willoughby South High School through the middle of his senior year, then graduated from Berkshire High School in Burton in 1986.
