West Geauga finishes strong at Cardinal

MIDDLEFIELD–West Geauga’s boys’ cross country team finished second while the Wolverines were sixth in the girls’ race at the 2018 Cardinal Invitational on Saturday.

John Patterson and Kenneth Kirk both finished among the top 10 as Patterson finished sixth in 17:15 and Kirk was seventh with a time of 17:33.

Julia Martinez paced the West Geauga girls with a time of 21:27, good for 14th place.

Haley Adams is a 2016 graduate of Cardinal High School. She is currently in her third year at Hiram College with a major in Communications and a minor in Writing. Haley, a three-sport standout at Cardinal, has participated in many athletic events at Hiram and plans to become a sports broadcaster.
