West Geauga holds off Berkshire

CHESTERLAND–Nicola Ehrbar scored two goals to lead West Geauga to a 2-1 come from behind victory over visiting Berkshire on Thursday.

Lexi Boyk scored off an Allie Barcikoski assist to give the Badgers and early 1-0 lead.

“Berkshire threw a pretty large wrench into tonight’s match that we almost didn’t solve,” West Geauga coach Kori Jesenovec said. “Nicola did as she does best and put some amazing goals into the back of the net for us. Tonight’s win was not the prettiest but we did what we had to do to get the result.”

Ehrbar scored off assists from Rae Ehrbar and Aubrey Zanella to give the Wolverines the lead they would not relinquish.

West Geauga remained undefeated at 6-0 overall and 2-0 in the Chagrin Valley Conference Chagrin Division. Berkshire dropped to 2-4-1, 0-2.
