10 from CVC named All-Ohio

The Ohio Prep Sportswriters Association on Monday released its Boys Basketball Division III and Division IV All-Ohio teams.

A total of 10 players from the Chagrin Valley Conference were included in the two teams.

Leading the way was Richmond Heights senior Gbolahan Adio, a first-team selection in Division IV after scoring 17.6 points per contest, and Beachwood junior Daryl Houston, who was named second team in Division III after posting 23 points per game this winter.

Kirtland’s Zach Samsa was named special mention and Wickliffe’s Anthony Olsen earned honorable mention honors.

Richmond Heights’ Josiah Harris was named second team in Division IV and Jamarr Talbert earned special mention honors.

Division IV honorable mention selections included Richmond Heights’ Jevontae Jones and Anthony Maxie, Fairport Harding’s Jordan Cogswell and Independence’s Kyle Zygmunt.
