Anness, Schulz lead Kirtland to win over Perry

Cici Anness and Aaron Schulz both shot a 45 to lead Kirtland to a 182-198 win over Perry at St. Denis Golf Course on Monday.

“Cici is getting better every match. She’s gearing up for the girls’ tournament. She is always practicing and it is really starting to show,” Kirtland coach Sam Kless said. “Aaron has been improving as well. He’s really starting to understand the course management part of the game. He’s only a sophomore so I’m really pleased with his progress.”

Victor Alfieri and Reese Van Arnhem both carded a 46 to round out the scoring for the Hornets, who improved to 6-5 overall and 4-4 in league play.

Perry’s Nick Carnovale claimed medalist honors with a match-low 42.
