MIDDLEFIELD–Berkshire collected just nine hits but scored at least two runs in every inning to beat host Cardinal in a rivalry showdown on Wednesday, 16-1.
Madison Chapman and Mollee Chapman both finished with two hits for the Badgers while Becca Hauser knocked in a team-high four runs. Jill Kumher added three RBI and Mollee Chapman and Kylie Neumore both finished with two runs batted in.
The Badgers drew 19 walks in the game.
Meghan McKeogh didn’t record an at-bat but she did score five runs in her five plate appearances after receiving five free passes. She also picked up the pitching victory for the Badgers after allowing one earned run on four hits with three strikeouts.
Haley Domen led Cardinal with two hits. Sydney Hahner doubled and Mia Polumsky also recorded a hit for the Huskies.
