Berquist, Cantini named All-Ohio

Crestwood senior Mikayla Berquist and Kirtland senior Gianna Cantini both were included on the Ohio High School Fastpitch Softball Coaches Association All-Ohio teams released on Tuesday.

Berquist was an honorable mention selection while Cantini landed on the second team in Division III.

Berquist led the Red Devils with a .432 batting average with three home runs and 13 runs batted in. She also finished 8-3 in the circle with a 1.60 earned run average with 83 strikeouts to just six walks in 65 2/3 innings of work.

Cantini, an honorable mention All-Ohioan in 2021, led the Hornets with a .642 batting average with seven doubles, two triples, and one home run, and she posted a team-high 23 RBI. In the circle, she struck out 120 batters in 124 1/3 innings.
