Bison take launch over Huskies at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse

CLEVELAND—Briahna Golubitsky scored a game-high 18 points in leading Beachwood to a 51-28 win over Cardinal at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse on Monday afternoon.

The Bison used a 14-0 run in the first half to pull away from the Huskies.

Golubitsky scored nine of her 18 during that stretch.

Sarah Brown added 14 points for the Bison and Taylor Blackwell and Audrey Hardis both contributed to the win with four points.

Cardinal’s Haley Domen scored a team-high 14 points and Anna Layman and Lindsay Hissa each finished the game with four.

Beachwood opens conference play on Tuesday with a home game against Chagrin Falls. The Huskies, who fell to 1-1, host Southington Chalker on Friday.
