Boys Soccer Roundup

Beachwood, Berkshire and Harvey all were victorious in their 2018 season openers on Saturday.

Beachwood topped Brooklyn, 7-0, led by Ethan Holz, who scored a pair of goals. Liam Torres, Maor Keren, Connor Umpleby, Spencer Shroge and Matthew Young each added one goal for the Bison. Roman Caputo assisted on two goals while Omar Altawam and Tyler Stovsky each recorded one assist in the win. Jake Muencz notched the clean sheet for the Bison, who didn’t allow a shot on goal.

Berkshire beat Garfield Heights, 4-1. Sam Roach scored two goals and Jay Wolfe and Nick Brent both found the net once. Ben Wasson recorded five saves for the Badgers.

Harvey defeated Villa Angela-St. Joseph, 8-0. Jalen Allen scored three goals and assisted on two others. Christian Jacinto and Roderick Coffee found the net twice with Coffee adding a pair of assists and Jacinto assisted on one other goal. Jony Pina scored one goal and Felix Soto assisted on one.
