Cuyahoga Heights places second at Columbia

With three individual champions and six other top-four finishers, Cuyahoga Heights placed second at the Columbia Invitational on Saturday.

Midview won the tournament with 204 ½ points while Heights was close behind with 171.

Antonio Chieffallo won the 126-pound bracket, Luke Torgerson claimed first at 175, and Angelo Rocco wrapped up the 190-pound title.

Chieffallo went 3-0 with three pins, Torgerson was 4-0 with two pins and a major decision, and Rocco was 3-0 with a major decision in the championship round.

Dustin Kattler placed second at 138.

Cooper Kucia (106), Francis Connors (157), Caleb Mahoney (165), and Colin Deka (285) all placed third and Zander Mooney (113) and Seth Kucia (132) were fourth.

Deka claimed the tournament’s fastest pin when he flattened his quarterfinals opponent in just eight seconds.

Beachwood placed eighth and Trinity was 10th.

Joshua Greenwood (144) and Uzonna Nzekwe (215) both won titles for the Bison while Caleb White and Eric Steckner placed fourth at 106 and 175, respectively.
