Coach’s Quote: “Nick had a great weekend going 5-0 with three pins,” Independence coach Ken DeAngelis said. “A couple of the kids that he pinned were good wrestlers and don’t get pinned very often. Nick has really been working hard in practice this year and has been a great teammate and is seeing some rewards from those good choices. Nick is an explosive wrestler and he’s really fun to watch. Every time he steps on the mat I have total confidence that not only can he win, but he can score bonus points. He reached 100 career wins at the first tournament this year and continues to build on that total.”
