Each player was nominated by his or her coach.

Coach’s Quote: “Courtney is the definition of what our team is about,” Berkshire coach James Bosley said. “She always brings her best effort and is one of our best defenders. She is also becoming a really good shooter as well. She always puts the team first, which was shown by taking three charges against Independence.”
Name: Nevada Melton

Coach’s Quote: “Madison played a complete game offensively and defensively pushing Orange to the brink in a tough loss,” Beachwood coach Grant Wilson said.
Name: Hannah Zahniser

Coach’s Quote: “Trenton is opening up and it shows as his offense came up big in two victories this weekend and the final one with a pin against Beachwood,” Chagrin Falls coach Peter Cimoroni said. “He is one of the veteran leaders on our team and possesses a great work ethic.”
Name: Nick Rossi
Stats: Finished the South Side Duals with a 5-0 record and 3 pin
Coach’s Quote: “Nick had a great weekend going 5-0 with three pins,” Independence coach Ken DeAngelis said. “A couple of the kids that he pinned were good wrestlers and don’t get pinned very often. Nick has really been working hard in practice this year and has been a great teammate and is seeing some rewards from those good choices. Nick is an explosive wrestler and he’s really fun to watch. Every time he steps on the mat I have total confidence that not only can he win, but he can score bonus points. He reached 100 career wins at the first tournament this year and continues to build on that total.”
