CVC Boys Soccer District Pairings

Independence’s and Kirtland’s boys’ soccer teams both earned No. 1 seeds in their respective district tournaments when the Northeast District Athletic Board announced the pairings on Sunday.

The Blue Devils claimed the top spot in the Division III Elyria District and will host the winner of the game between No. 8 Wellington and No. 9 Brooklyn in a sectional championship game on Saturday, Oct. 19 at 1:00 p.m.

Kirtland was voted the No. 1 seed in the Division III Gates Mills District and will host the winner of the game between No. 8 Berkshire and No. 9 Bristol on Saturday, Oct. 19 at 1:00 p.m.

Hare began covering high school sports for the Lake County News Herald in 1997. Hare attended Willoughby South High School through the middle of his senior year, then graduated from Berkshire High School in Burton in 1986.
