CVC Roundup: Cubbison paces Perry in win over Glenville

Nate Cubbison scored a game-high 26 points to lead Perry to an 80-42 win over visiting Glenville in a Division II sectional championship game on Friday.

Drew Schiano contributed with 14 points and Jaylen Anderson and Matt Cool also scored in double figures with 12 and 10 points, respectively. Jake Reid added nine points in the win.

Perry, the No. 4 seed in the Lakeside District will play No. 1 Villa Angela-St. Joseph in a district semifinal on March 6 at Lakeside High School.

The Vikings defeated West Geauga on Friday, 84-52.

Peyton Bissler scored 16 points to lead the Wolverines in the loss.

Richmond Heights also won a sectional title with a 74-33 win over Cornerstone Christian on Friday. The Spartans play Rittman in the district semifinals on Monday at Norton High School.

In other action, Benedictine topped Chagrin Falls, 81-46, Warrensville Heights beat Wickliffe, 96-68, and Lutheran East beat Cardinal, 87-32.
