Edgewood leads CVC contingent at Lakeside’s War on the Shore

Edgewood’s boys’ and girls’ cross country teams both finished in third place in their respective divisions at the 2019 Lakeside War on the Shore meet at Lakeshore Park in Ashtabula on Monday.

“I was very pleased with how we performed on both sides,” Edgewood coach Steve Hill said. “The boys are a young team that are growing better with each day of practice and their hard work showed today. The girls are a little banged up but some of the younger girls stepped up and helped us finish where we did.”

Lakeview won the girls’ division with 54 points. Poland was second with 55 and Edgewood followed closely behind with 58 points.

Geneva finished eighth (166) and Lakeside was 10th (301). Cardinal and Grand Valley also competed but did not score as a team.
