Four earn All-Ohio honors in big school divisions

The Ohio Prep Sportswriters Association on Tuesday released its Division I & II All-Ohio teams and four Chagrin Valley Conference players were included among the All-Ohioans.

Lakeside senior Brandon Ford was the only CVC player to earn All-Ohio honors in Division I. He was selected to the third team after averaging 24.1 points per game as a senior.

Perry senior Jaylen Anderson earned third-team honors in Division II. He averaged 22.8 points per game this season.

Chagrin Falls senior Jack McMullen and Lutheran West senior Tyler DeSimpelare both earned honorable mention honors in Division II. McMullen dropped in 13 points per contest while DeSimpelare scored 17.6 this winter.

Hare began covering high school sports for the Lake County News Herald in 1997. Hare attended Willoughby South High School through the middle of his senior year, then graduated from Berkshire High School in Burton in 1986. He played football, wrestled and was an all-Geauga county baseball player (1986). He lives in Chardon with his wife Paulette and their children.
