Geneva blanks West Geauga

CHESTERLAND–Megan Pitcher recorded four hits and Kayla Lindberg struck out eight in Geneva’s 8-0 win at West Geauga on Tuesday.

The Eagles scored three runs in the top of the third, added one in the fifth and scored four more in the sixth to finish off the Wolverines.

Kayli Stash added two hits, including a double, for the Eagles.

Torrie Gall doubled for West Geauga and Mia Minello struck out three in the loss.

Geneva improved to 12-9 overall and 11-2 in the Chagrin Valley Conference Chagrin Division while West Geauga dropped to 12-6, 8-4.

Haley Adams is a 2016 graduate of Cardinal High School. She is currently in her third year at Hiram College with a major in Communications and a minor in Writing. Haley, a three-sport standout at Cardinal, has participated in many athletic events at Hiram and plans to become a sports broadcaster.
