Geneva started fast and finished strong in sweeping visiting West Geauga on Tuesday, 3-0.
The Eagles won 25-16, 25-11 and 25-23 to improve to 4-3 overall and 1-1 in the Chagrin Valley Conference Chagrin Division.
“The girls played hard and had great support tonight,” said Geneva coach Anna Haeseler. “I am very proud of their energy and positivity tonight. I feel like we served very smart and hit some great spots on our attack. I hope we keep the energy going throughout the rest of the week.”
Becca Quirk recorded team-highs in service points (14) and assists (12). Chrissy Oros pitched in with nine points and 11 assists and Morgan Stoltz contributed with nine points and eight digs.
Jordan Vencill posted a team-high 12 kills with four digs and Myla Rhodes finished with six kills and a block. Kelli Rooney added four kills while Hope Stanley and Kennedy Landrus both finished with a pair of kills for the Eagles.
