Grand Valley’s Hallie Soltis and Ian Dyke were named the school’s winners of the 2020 Chagrin Valley Conference Senior Sportsmanship Award.
Soltis earned three varsity letters in both volleyball and basketball and two in softball during her four years at Grand Valley. She earned second-team All-CVC honors and honorable mention all-county honors in 2019 as serving as the volleyball team’s captain. She also was named a team captain during her senior season of basketball and she earned all-conference honors in softball back in 2018.
A four-year member of student council, Soltis also competed on the Academic Challenge team in 2019 and 2020 and was a part of the Future Farmers of America from 2017-2020.
Soltis will attend Ohio State University.
Dyke earned three letters in soccer and also competed in track at Grand Valley.
A four-year all-conference All-Academic honoree, Dyke was named all-county honorable mention and also won the Coach’s Pillar and Hard Hat Awards.
Dyke, who carries a 4.119 grade point average and will attend Case Western Reserve University, was a member of the Academic Challenge Team, National Honor Society, World Language Club, Grand Valley Marching Band and he earned a Presidential Academic Award and he is an Eagle Scout.
