Hedrick first Harvey golfer in 25 years to advance to districts

Harvey senior Connor Hedrick on Monday achieved something no Red Raider golfer has done in 25 years.

Hedrick shot a 75 to finish second overall at the Division I Quail Hollow sectional tournament. As a result, Hedrick advanced as an individual to next week’s district tournament.

He is the first Harvey golfer to achieve that feat in over two decades.

Hedrick shot a 38 on the front nine and a 37 on the back.

Geneva’s Ayden Richmond carded an 83 and also advanced as an individual to the district tournament.

Chagrin Falls junior Cristina Joseph also punched her ticket to districts as she shot an 89 at Pine Hills to finish ninth overall.
