Cardinal coach Karisca Chambers continued to tinker with her lineup in a 3-0 win over Harvey on Tuesday to find the best rotation for the postseason.
The Huskies responded with a 25-17, 25-6, 25-11 victory.
“Tonight we tried a different lineup in the second set and it went really well,” Chambers said. “The girls had energy and stepped up even though they weren’t used to some of the positions they had to play.”
Hannah Traggia posted a team-high 22 assists and also pitched in with six digs. Megan Zeigler also had six digs and two assists and Kaylee Klepper recorded six kills.
Faith Peters pitched in with nine digs, three kills and three service aces and Camille Cummins finished with four aces, five kills and three digs.
Kaitlyn Shantery recorded a team-high nine kills and also finished with eight digs for the Huskies, who improved to 12-7 overall and 8-3 in the Chagrin Valley Conference Valley Division.
“Kaitlyn Shantery played outside hitter and did a great job,” Chambers said. “She was consistent and went after the ball aggressively. I’m excited to see what we can do in the postseason.”
Cardinal travels to Cuyahoga Heights on Thursday.
