Independence and Perry claimed team titles at the 2021 Chagrin Valley Conference Preseason Tournament at Punderson Golf Course on Monday.
The Blue Devils finished with 372 points in winning the Chagrin Division while the Pirates shot 426 to win the Valley Division title.
Hawken’s Ella Wong shot a tournament-low 73 to claim medalist honors in the Chagrin Division. Teammate Kate Peterson finished second with an 84. Independence’s Emma Konopa (89) and Molly McGreal (90) and Chagrin Falls Cristina Joseph (89) also finished among the top five.
Edgewood’s Kaci Kanicki was the Valley Division medalist as she shot a 97 to beat Perry’s Addy Trefzger by four strokes. Cuyahoga Heights’ Shai Moore finished third with a 102 and Perry’s Emily Capitosti (103) and Ashley Anderson (107) rounded out the top five.
