Lake Division title on the line

Edgewood and Madison will square off on Thursday in a pair of games that will decide the Chagrin Valley Conference Lake Division title.

With an 8-2 record in league play, Edgewood controls its own destiny.

The Warriors can clinch the title outright with a sweep over the Blue Streaks, while a split would allow Perry to sneak into a split title with Edgewood. The Warriors and Pirates split their two-game series.

Perry finished its conference schedule with a 9-3 record.

Madison is 7-3 but even with a sweep of the Warriors on Thursday, the Blue Streaks would finish second to Perry, who swept the Blue Streaks in their two-game series.

Game 1 will be played at 4:30 with Edgewood batting with one out in the top of the seventh inning of a 0-0 game. Avery Vencill is at bat.

Game 2 will follow the completion of the first game.
