Lutheran West’s Kristin Groppe wins Valley Division title

BURTON–Lutheran West senior Kristin Groppe capped off her first season in the Chagrin Valley Conference by winning the Valley Division title on Saturday.

Groppe ran a time of 19:59 to finish second overall to Hawken’s Ella Gilson, the defending Division II state champion, and first in the Valley Division by one minute, eight seconds.

With Groppe finishing first, the Longhorns finished second overall to Berkshire.
