Nine from CVC earn All-Ohio honors in Divisions III & IV

The Ohio Prep Sportswriters Association on Monday announced its Division III and IV All-Ohio girls’ Basketball teams.

Included among the honorees were nine players from the Chagrin Valley Conference.

Trinity’s Mahogany Cottingham earned third-team honors in Division III. The 5-foot-9 sophomore averaged 15.9 points per contest during the 2020-21 season.

Kirtland junior Reilly Greenlee, who averaged 11.5 points per game, was named special mention and Berkshire’s Lydia Kastor (13.9), Grand Valley’s Alexis Mahaffey (8.6), Independence’s Riccela DiGeronimo (11.5), Kirtland’s Haley Coso (10.6), and Trinity’s Anna Ibos (10.4) all earned honorable mention honors.

In Division IV, Cuyahoga Heights senior Julia Harris earned special mention honors while Cardinal junior Haley Domen was named honorable mention.

Harris averaged 9.1 points per game while Domen dropped in 16.0 points per contest.

He also created and publishes, an online publication dedicated to providing hyperlocal coverage to area high school athletic programs. Hare began covering high school sports for the Lake County News Herald in 1997. Hare attended Willoughby South High School through the middle of his senior year, then graduated from Berkshire High School in Burton in 1986. He played football, wrestled and was an all-Geauga county baseball player (1986). He lives in Chardon with his wife Paulette and their children.
