Orange serves up a win over Geneva

Orange used a 4-1 win over Geneva on Thursday to advance to the quarterfinals of the Ohio state team district tournament.

The Lions will play another Chagrin Valley Conference foe in Hawken on Sept. 21 with the winner advancing to the semifinals.

Alexis Nyborg (6-0, 6-0) and Natalie Borsch (6-0, 6-2) picked up singles wins for the Lions while Nina Dzidzishvilli and Sadie Meyer (6-2, 6-2) and Stella Colich and Haley Paradise (6-2, 6-2) won in doubles play.

Geneva’s Abby Anderson prevented the sweep with a 6-1, 6-0 win in third singles.
