Chagrin Falls and West Geauga battled to a 1-1 draw at Howell Field in Chesterland on Thursday.
Tallulah Haskett headed in an early goal to give Chagrin Falls an early 1-0 lead. That advantage held until West Geauga’s Grace Keiper finished off a cross from Nicola Ehrbar to tie the game early in the second half.
“The game was a hard-fought, competitive battle between two (Chagrin Valley Conference) rivals,” said West Geauga Coach Kori Chapic. “Emily Allegretti, Madison Allegretti, Bella Burkhard and Aubrey Zanella played outstanding defense to hold Chagrin Falls to one goal on the night. Sarah Grinstead had some big plays in goal in the second half to give the team a boost.”
Grinstead finished with two saves while Aerin Krebs recorded three for Chagrin Falls.
