Six different players scored goals in Wickliffe’s 7-0 non-conference victory over Shaw on Monday.
The Blue Devils, who improved to 10-1-1 overall, led 3-0 at halftime and dominated the final 80 minutes of play to record their eighth shutout of the season.
“Many players contributed to the result while improving on their technical skill,” said Wickliffe coach Steve Gribovicz. “The team was able to stay mentally focused in the rain to push their win total to 10 on the season.”
Melanie Tennant, Morgan Gabriel, Emma Thompson, Jenna Melaragno, Bryanna Butler and Maegan Andrykovitch each scored a goal for the Blue Devils, who also benefitted from an own goal.
Joelle Banks, Camryn Klein and Andrykovitch each recorded an assist in the win and Kaylee Lauriel and Emma Thompson split time in goal. Neither recorded a save.
The Blue Devils host Beachwood in a key Chagrin Valley Conference Valley Division game on Thursday.
