Wickliffe dominates at Cuyahoga Heights

Nick Telisman and Nick Colbert both scored two goals to lead Wickliffe to a 6-0 win at Cuyahoga Heights on Tuesday.

Mason Pugh and Logan Meier also scored goals for the Blue Devils, who improved to 2-1-1 overall and 1-1-1 in league play.

“It took our offense some time to get going tonight but we came alive at the right time,” said Wickliffe coach Chris Adkins. “Our defense really held the game for us early.”

The Blue Devils led 3-0 at halftime and added three more goals in the second half to seal their win.

Jimmy Overberger led Wickliffe with two assists while Telisman, Pugh, Jonny Abramczyk and JT Brenneman each had one.

Brenneman also recorded two saves in the win.

Tyler Del Valle finished with six saves for the Redskins.

Wickliffe travels to Wellington on Saturday. Cuyahoga Heights, who dropped to 2-2, hosts Brooklyn on Thursday.
