2021 CVC Swim & Dive Championships

The 2021 Chagrin Valley Conference Swim and Dive Championships will be held at three different locations beginning on Friday, Jan. 22.

No spectators are permitted to attend but each location will live stream the event.

The schedule is listed below along with the links to each live stream.

FRIDAY, JANUARY 22

Diving Championships at Beachwood High School

  • 4:30 p.m. Boys Diving Begins
  • 7:00 p.m. Girls Diving Begins

Participating Teams: Beachwood, Cuyahoga Heights, Edgewood, Independence, Perry

  • 11:30 a.m. Girls Swimming Begins

Swimming Championships at Orange High School

Participating Teams: Geneva, Lakeside, Orange, West Geauga

  • 4:30 p.m. Girls Swimming Begins

TUESDAY, JANUARY 26

Swimming Championships at Hawken Upper School

Participating Teams: Chagrin Falls, Hawken, Kirtland, and Wickliffe

  • Scoring:
    • Relay Events: 40-34-32-30-28-26-24-22-(18-14-12-10-8-6-4-2)
    • Individual Events: 20-17-16-15-14-13-12-11-(9-7-6-5-4-3-2-1)
  • All-Conference Honors: For All-Conference selections, the top two place finishers in each event will earn 1st and 2nd place All-Conference. Up to two individual swimmers from each team also may be named honorable mention.
  • Divisional Alignment:
    • Chagrin Division: Chagrin Falls, Edgewood, Geneva, Hawken, Lakeside, Orange, West Geauga
    • Valley Division: Beachwood, Cuyahoga Heights, Independence, Kirtland, Perry, Wickliffe
  • Results: Final results will be posted at www.chagrinvalleyconference.com.

Steve Hare is the Chagrin Valley Conference's Sports Information Director. He also created and publishes OhioVarsity.com, an online publication dedicated to providing hyperlocal coverage to area high school athletic programs. Hare began covering high school sports for the Lake County News Herald in 1997. Hare attended Willoughby South High School through the middle of his senior year, then graduated from Berkshire High School in Burton in 1986. He played football, wrestled and was an all-Geauga county baseball player (1986). He lives in Chardon with his wife Paulette and their children.
