Hawken yielded five runs in the top of the fourth inning and two more in the fifth in an 8-7 setback to visiting Orange on Tuesday in the Chagrin Valley Conference Chagrin Division opener for both teams.
The Hawks led 3-1 after three innings but the Lions rallied for back-to-back big innings to take an 8-3 lead into the bottom of the seventh.
Hawken scored four in the bottom of the seventh inning and had the tying run in scoring position before a line drive to centerfield ended the game.
Luke Marks, Aidan Hussain and Zach Miller each recorded two hits for the Hawks and Hussain and Bislich both knocked in a pair of runs.
