Chagrin Falls wins district golf title

Led by Sven Nielsen and Dylan Glickman, Chagrin Falls claimed the 2022 Division II Windmill Lakes district title on Tuesday.

The Tigers carded a 323 as a team to beat second-place Lake Catholic by eight strokes and third-place NDCL by 13.

Nielsen and Glickman both shot 79 to finish tied for third as individuals. Charlie Pollock placed 12th with an 82, ad Drew Mergenhagen closed out the scoring with an 83, good for 19th place. Henry Westendorf also competed for the Tigers. He shot an 86 to place 32nd.

Orange shot a 362 to place 10th.

Dillon Fellinger was Orange’s top finisher. He shot an 82 to tie for 12th place. Max Eisenberg (88), Gabriel Nemer and Truman Williams (96), and Jayden Park (102) also played for the Lions.

Beachwood’s James O’Neill and Hawken’s Kevin Dang both shot an 81 to finish tied for eighth place.
