The Chagrin Valley Conference has teamed up with Empower Sports to provide an inclusive sports day at West Geauga High School on Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2022.
Student-athletes from Beachwood, Kirtland, Orange, and West Geauga will be paired up with Empower Sports athletes to play soccer, baseball/softball, and football, and participants also will compete in relay races.
“I think it’s really important for us to be able to offer something like this for the students in the CVC with disabilities, and also to have our student-athletes be a part of it to volunteer and help to make sports inclusive for everyone,” said CVC assistant commissioner Rakayla Iwais.
CVC officials assigner Sandy Siegler worked with Iwais to plan the program, which will be held at West Geauga from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
