Grand Valley’s John Steimle places fourth at Early Bird Invitational

BURTON—Senior John Steimle and freshman David Steimle both finished among the top 10 runners at the 2019 Berkshire Early Bird Invitational at the Geauga County Fairgrounds on Aug. 24.

John Steimle placed fourth with a time of 16:16 and David was 10th in 16:38.

The Mustangs finished in 10th place as a team.

Sophomores Max Bogardus (21:00) and Cheyenne Dockery (21:24) and freshman Clay Kudera (21:56) also competed for the Mustangs.

Sophomore Annabell Hlebak was the lone Mustang to compete in the girls’ race. She finished 30th with a time of 21:31.

Haley Adams
Haley Adams is a 2016 graduate of Cardinal High School. She is currently in her third year at Hiram College with a major in Communications and a minor in Writing. Haley, a three-sport standout at Cardinal, has participated in many athletic events at Hiram and plans to become a sports broadcaster.
